NEW IN 3.9
- Gym Log+ now suggests your next step. Hit your target reps on every set at your heaviest weight and the logging screen offers the next weight, with the reason in a sentence — "You hit 3 × 12 at 100 lb — try 105 lb." A lift that sits at the same weight for three sessions without gaining reps gets a suggestion to back off instead. Tap to fill the fields, or ignore it and nothing changes. Take one and your remaining sets keep the new weight, with a note of the jump on the first. Long-press to see exactly which sessions it read, and the exercise page shows the same suggestion under "Next time" for planning tomorrow. Every suggestion is worked out on your iPhone from your own history — nothing is sent anywhere. Pro; free shows what kind of suggestion is waiting. Settings → During a Workout turns it off
- Mixing routines in one workout now reads that way. Pull exercises from Push and Abs into one session and the overview groups them under their routines — "Push · 4, Abs · 2" — with anything you added by hand under "Added". History says "Push + Abs" on the day's row and at the top of the workout, and each exercise's section names where it came from. It survives closing the app mid-workout. Per-routine stats are unchanged on purpose: borrowing two exercises from Abs is not a session of Abs
FIXED
- Personal records are counted per profile again. On a device with more than one profile, another profile's heavier set on the same exercise could stop your own record from showing in the workout summary and in History — even though the trophy and the sound arrived while you were logging it. Records now measure against your own history everywhere. And two sets at the same top weight no longer show two trophies when only the first one set the record
- The logging screen now explains superset mode while it is on: "Sets are grouped — end the superset to rest" sits above the LOG button. Holding the rest timer until the end of a superset was always deliberate, but nothing said so — so hitting that button by accident meant your sets were quietly grouped and you waited for a bell that never came
- Deleting a measurement type now says exactly what goes with it. With more than one profile, the confirmation tells you how many of the logged measurements belong to someone else, so a clean-up cannot quietly take another person's history with it
