Gym Log+ is a workout tracker built around one idea: nothing should slow down a set. On iPhone Duo that idea gets a bigger screen. The app is updated for the device from version 3.38, so a Duo bought this week opens it edge to edge on the first launch.
What "updated for iPhone Duo" means here, specifically.
Opened, the app uses the whole inner display: the logging screen, the exercise library with its demo clips, and the progress charts all take the width. Fold the phone mid-set and the logging screen stays on the exercise you're on, with the numbers you'd typed still in the fields. Closed, it's a phone: the same app, logging on the cover screen.
Opened
- Logging, edge to edge. The exercise you're on, your sets today, the bar to beat and last time's numbers, with room to spare. One Log button, same as on any iPhone.
- Every exercise, shown and explained. The library's demo clips and how-to notes use the width, so a form check between sets is a real look rather than a thumbnail.
- Charts that use the space. Estimated 1RM, volume and best set over time, the muscle figure, Recovery, the consistency calendar: the Stats and Progress screens draw to the full width of the inner display.
Folded mid-workout
A gym is not a place to lose your spot. Fold or unfold the Duo on any exercise, with a set half-typed, and the logging screen stays lined up on that exercise. A sheet you had open, the plate calculator or This Workout, is still there on the other side.
On the cover screen the app is the one every iPhone owner has: log a set, let the rest timer run, finish. Nothing is held back from the small screen.
Off the screen entirely
- The rest timer on the Lock Screen. A Live Activity counts the rest down with the phone closed, and +30 s is a tap away.
- The whole workout on the Lock Screen. The exercise you're on, sets done out of the plan, and how long you've been training, without unlocking.
- Apple Watch, on its own. The watch app runs a complete workout with the phone in the locker, and hands it back to the phone when the two meet. More on the Watch app →
The honest part
It is the same app, using the whole screen. There is no separate layout to learn on the inner display and nothing that works differently closed. Every screen, every setting and every routine is the one you had on your last iPhone, and your history comes across through your own iCloud, with no account to create.
Gym Log+ makes no network request of its own, has no ads and no feed, and runs no analytics. The privacy policy is short because there is little to say.
On the device
Free, on iPhone Duo and every iPhone that runs iOS 26
Gym Log+ 3.38 or later is updated for iPhone Duo, which is the version the App Store delivers. The Apple Watch app comes with it.
